Perhaps the most well-known of all UK credit cards, some Barclaycards allow 0% balance transfers for a little over the first year of taking the card, although, like many other credit card providers today, this service comes with a handling fee.

Barclaycard joins the 0% credit cards in offering no interest for an initial period of time from opening the account, after which time interest become payable at a variable rate.
If you want to apply for a credit card, Barclaycard Flexi-Rate credit card represents the standard offering to customers - but other versions are available.
These are Barclaycard Simplicity - for borrowers with an 'excellent credit rating' that stays at a consistent low rate, Barclaycard Platinum that requires a minimum salary, Barclaycard Initial, that is available to people rebuilding their credit rating (but comes with a higher rate), Premiership Barclaycard for football fans looking for discounts in selected sports stores and the self-explanatory Graduate Barclaycard which offers a low rate but limited balance.
Each of the Barclaycard credit cards are interest-free for different time periods and come with their own features, terms and conditions.
